Not only does the Vigor2710 series come with new flashy aesthetic design, it has also many features and functions, thanks to DrayTek Product Development team.
When the user first logs in with IP address 192.168.1.1, he can login with any or the 2 login modes: User or Admin.
The default password for the User mode is blank, as before, whereas the default username / password for the Admin mode are: admin / admin.
Login in Admin mode allows access to all functions and features of the router/firewall, but not all of these are allowed in User mode.
Internet Access pages remain the same as in Vigor2700 series
LAN features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series
NAT features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series, with Port Redirection and Open Ports increased to a maximum of 20 entries each.
Not available in Vigor2700 series, full DMZ Host feature is now added to Vigor2710.
Firewall features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series, with object-based rules including: IP Object Group, and Service Type Object Group for the firewall filter.
Keyword Object and Group and File Extension Object are available for URL content filter, and the capacity has been increased to 200 entries and 32 groups; in comparison Vigor2700 series has only 8 entries and is not object based.
File restriction filter has now become object-based and much more flexible, as shown below.

CSM features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series with additional default warning message on the browser that can be customized by the user.
Bandwidth Management remains as flexible and powerful as Vigor2700 series.
Application features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series.
VPN features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series, with a capacity of 2 VPN tunnels instead of 32 tunnels for Vigor2820 series.
VoIP features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series, with 6 x SIP accounts vs. 12 for Vigor2820Vn series.
WLAN features have been upgraded to the same standard as Vigor2820 series.
System Maintenance and Diagnostics pages remain flexible and powerful as Vigor2700 series.
