Computer Hardware Experts!
Sunday, November 27th, 2011Computer Hardware continues to develop at a pace that is almost impossible for the ‘non tech heads’ amongst us! So thankfully, this is where Warcom can step in and assist.
It is obviously important to know what kind of computer hardware you currently have in your pc and to get the right information when upgrading or buying a new computer.
Unfortunately most people lack the knowledge of what computer hardware is good and what’s not, thankfully – we offer free advice so why not give us a call on 1300 927 266, we can help you determine if your current system is actually upgradeable or better still – help you buy a brand computer. (Pending the wife’s approval obviously).
Having the correct pc hardware these days is very important, as without the correct hardware or the right amount of ram you may run into problems when trying to run software and games.
For example, most pc games these days need 2gb or 4gb of ram to run at optimality performance, so if you only have 2gb ram in your system this means your computer is going to run like a snail.
When buying computer hardware it’s super important to knock up a list of what you will be using the computer for, this will help us determine how much ram you’re going to need and other things such as video card requirements, etc.
Now, if you are into gaming (who isn’t?) then your computer is going to need pretty grunty. You should be able to get away with an i5 or an i7 processor, but remember to include a lot of ram and possibly a 1tb or 2tb hard drive if you are a serious gamer.
You will defiantly be needing a good graphics card, and thankfully you can get the latest graphic cards for great prices these days, they will run most games at maximum graphics and performance.
The general rule of thumb is – the more you pay for a graphics card the better it is going to be, but do feel free to ask for advice on our forums on before rushing out and spending $1000 on a graphic card!
So now that you have a rough idea of what’s needed in relation to your computer, cpu, graphic card and the amount of ram you require, it’s time to go shopping!
I hope this article has given you some food for thought.
We’re here to help with all your computer hardware needs, so please do feel free to drop in or call us on 1300 927 266.
Cheers,
Braden,
