The Hottips charging system, the Mother of all phone chargers!

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Introducing . . . . . .The Hottips charging system, the Mother of all phone chargers!

This little product is fantastic. It will charge pretty much any mobile phone including the iPhone and iPod and it can use a variety of different sources to do it

To start with, it is a folding wall charger, so it plugs directly into the wall socket and when not in use the prongs fold neatly away. Secondly it’s a car charger, which plugs directly into the charging socket in your car and also conveniently folds up for better storage.

Thirdly the Hottips charging system comes with a detachable USB cord to charge from your PC or MAC and fourthly it has a 9V battery connection for emergencies to transfer power to your mobile device for when you are in those very remote areas. (this is awesome if you are going out into the wilderness or typically somewhere where there is no power whatsoever)

Connectivity is unsurpassed and it is basically what the Hottips charging system is all about, whether you have a Motorola, Blackberry, Samsung, Nokia, LG or an iPhone/iPod it will suit you. There are individual connections for each device, and you just simply choose which one you need at the time. In this day and age when we all have two or more mobile phones and devices this can be really handy because the Hottips system will connect with all of them.

Compact, action packed, extremely versatile and space saving are features we can use to describe the Hottips charging system. Whether you need a replacement for a charger you have lost or broken or you would like to do away with multiples and just have the one easy to use charger, then this is the product for you.

Meet the team: Adam!

At Warcom, we don’t want you to think of us as nameless people who just sell you the coolest networking gear around. Instead, we’d love for you to know that even though we sell some of the best modems, routers, and accessories around, we’re still normal people. Well, most of the time, anyway…

That being said, here’s a short look into what makes us tick.

Name and current occupation?
Adam Jones. Sales Manager and Accounts.

Why Warcom?
Challenging, Fun and Fast-paced atmosphere.

What’s your poison?
This varies a lot. At this stage…. Soccer :P

What’s your claim to fame?
Rove Live House Band 06′!

In your opinion, what is the coolest/most useful piece of tech that Warcom sells?
I’m impressed with these new Ethernet via powerpoint adapters you can get. Belkin have a popular one and Billion have a wireless one coming out soon (keep an eye out!). It basically connects to any powerpoint, from your router. You then plug the other end in where ever you need a connection and you can connect to the router via the powerpack (wirelessly with this Billion!). Crazy stuff!

Do you own an iPhone? What do you think of the device?
No I don’t. Due to peer presure, I will probably have one soon. I personally think they are overrated. Some pretty nice cases available though!

What’s in your recently played list?
Bad Medicine (obviously), The Warcom Theme song. Other than that a bit of Cartel, Quietdrive, SR-71, Dashboard Confessional and Paramore.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Soccer, Gaming, Stuffing round with cars/bikes, Tunes (Music), Ice-Cream (eating it)

If you could run Warcom for a day, what would you change?
I’d probably change the colour scheme to shade of Green. Otherwise Paul runs a pretty efficient system.

Favourite Warcom employee and why?
This is a sus question. Kinda like choosing a favourite child or something. In any case I’ll go with myself, Adam.

If there was something you’d change about the technology industry today, what would it be?
I’d be after less suppliers and better profit margins, ultimately.

Thanks Adam! If you’ve got any follow-up questions (personally I’d love to know what the Warcom theme song is…), we’d love to hear them in the comments below!

ADSL Filters – Is expensive better?

Friday, December 19th, 2008

In this world of ever-changing technology, one thing has never change.  People still have this stupid logic that the higher-priced items must be of better quality.  While retail shops would love you to think that, it is very rarely the case.

Don’t get me wrong – good quality does cost more!  However, marketing gurus attack your hip pocket like leeches on a beast.  They attacked your areas of vulnerability, your lack of knowledge, and they attacked your common sense.

Proposed Internet Filter – Big Brother Returns

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Is anyone else worried about the fact that the same team of government goons who could not get the tender document correct for the National Broadband Network proposals, are now in charge of our moral compass?

If I wanted a Big Brother, I would have talked to my parents!

Why do governments still persist in their irrational thinking that they know best for us.  Last time I checked, I was surviving this thing called “life” quite well on my own terms :-) .  I have never needed the government to tell me what to do, or when to do it, or even who could do it to.  But now, someone who was obviously more intelligent than me because they have a higher salary, has decided that it is necessary to take my moral social compass and shove it so far up my interface that I find it hard to breathe.

EDAR – Housing for our Homeless

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Today’s post is not about warcom, it’s not about business, and it’s most certainly not about making money.

It’s about raising awareness for the homeless people of Australia.

I give you the EDAR.

The DrayTek Vigor DV2710 – The Inside Review!

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

We have received a sample of DrayTek Vigor2710Vn from DrayTek Corp and have been impressed by the aesthetic and functional designs of the casing, so much so that we figured we would do a quick review on it!

With the streamlined shape from all angles, the casing is eye-catching the moment you open the box. It gives off an impression that it has technical and artistic quality – setting it apart from traditional, boring router boxes!
