Elgato makes an awesome range of television tuners for the Mac and its EyeTV Diversity model lets you to watch one digital channel whilst recording another. This is achieved through a dual tuner set-up (pretty funky considering the size of the USB stick) that can also be used to boost indoor reception with its portable dual antennas. These magnetic bases are very strong, so you can mount them just about any where you like.

Elgato claims the antennas can pick up reception in a vehicle moving at up to 160kmh, a claim we were unable to test due to speed limits. Noo doubt a useful feature on a German autobahn (Hi Ghostrider?).

The best part of the bundle is the brilliant EyeTV software, which has a television-friendly full-screen menu that can be driven from the supplied infrared remote. EyeTV lets you easily edit the recordings as well as automatically export them to an iPod.

The software has also combined with the Australian IceTV (www.icetv.com.au) electronic program guide (EPG) so you can view seven-day program listings in full-screen mode and set schedules at the push of a button!

Really – how can you go wrong, with two, or three monitors!

It’s a proven fact that productivity levels increase by around 50% (according to info I’ve read on the internet (so it must be true?!). Staff will have more room, slash, screen real estate, for creative freedom, and best of all, they -should- hopefully be much more organised!
